On Friday, October 19, the Thomas B. Fordham Institute held a webcast entitled, “After Chicago: The future of teacher unions.” Panelists Joe Williams, executive director of Democrats for Education Reform, and Terry Moe, professor of political science at Stanford University and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, along with moderator Michael J. Petrilli, executive vice president of the Fordham Institute, discussed the effects of the recent teacher strike in the United States’ third largest school district on education reform across the country.
